My name is Jeanne Mukaruhogo and I’m from Burundi. My home, however, is on two continents at the same time: Europe and Africa.
As a child I came to Austria to be treated for a life-threatening disease and I grew up in the SOS Children’s Village in Imst, Tyrol. After finishing my studies in Innsbruck, I wanted to return to my roots and started working as a human resources coordinator for SOS Children’s Villages in Africa. I got to meet many people from different countries and was able to develop my own understanding of Africa in the 21th century. I have recently come back to Europe and now work in Munich for SOS Children’s Villages as the Spokesperson on SOS-Programmes in Africa.
In my weblog “With Jeanne across Africa” I would like to take you (the reader) on a personal journey across this colourful continent. I’m looking forward to your company and to exciting discussions.
